Recent Construction Awards

Q&D is pleased to report several recent awards. Cautiously optimistic about what appears to be continued increase in commercial construction starts, we celebrate each through our weekly field announcements and by “ringing the bell” in our office (a large ceiling mounted ship’s bell) to call our office employees together to hear the announcement and give a round of applause to the sales or estimating team that won the project.

This past month, we have celebrated several NDOT project wins, including a $1-million bridge rehabilitation project. We also won an RTC $1.6-million roundabout rehabilitation and a water and sewer service replacement project for the City of Hawthorne valued at $8.2-million.

Great job to our teams and subcontractors on these and other wins!

Lutheran Church Breaks Ground in Reno, NV

The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd recently broke ground on their expansion and remodel of their worship facility. Church members have been contributing and saving for this project for many years. Over that time there have been changes in how the group worships, and more space is badly needed. WMB Architects out of Sacramento has done a wonderful job maximizing the small site and blending into the existing aesthetic while providing a current design that will still look great in 50 years. We are thrilled to be building. Check out the rendering on our Facebook page.

Welcome New Hires

Q&D welcomes Angelo Carvajal to our Utah office, working on the Scheels jobsite in Sandy, Utah as a Project Engineer.
